twilight

The Twilight is a serie of books (named after the first one, which is actually Twilight) written by the talented Stephenie Meyer, which now counts 3 books (Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse). This serie is incredibli catching and in a few months it became the "literature case" of the teen-agers literature both in the USA than in most of the countries it was published in.

You may read a short introduction to the Twilight plot. There are minor spoilers since I haven't written the entire story of the three books, but just a little paragraph to explain the context. You may try the original works, you won't be disappointed at all!

Twilight is the story of the tormented love between Isabella Swan and Edward Carlisle, a modern Juliet who is trying to affirmate her feelings for the one she loves, despite all the happenings and obstacles to theri relationship. Edward is actually a vampire, the most charming and attracting person Bella has ever met: her true love, her everything.

The story begins as Bella moves to Fork, to live with her father Charlie since her mother married her new partner and Bella decided to let her live her new life, withouth being a burden to her.
Bella doesn't enjoy at all Forks, probably because it's the opposite as Phoenix, where she was used to live, although she was able to get along togheter with her new schoolmates and she got all the attenctions of the male audience, even if she wasn't interested in noone. She finally finds someone interesting enough: Edward Cullen and his family. Bella feels something strange about him, probably because he seems to hate her, with no reasons. She tries, with all her means, to find out why Edward seems so hostile in her regards and she's able to break the wall which was diving them and obtain his "friendship". Bella soon finds out, through her friend Jacob, that Edward and his family are vampires, although they seem to not be interested in humans, at least as their "food". Bella doesn't seem to be scared about that revelation, because she's totally in love with edward and she doesn't really care about what it means being in love with a creature like him and the two eventually confess their feelings to each other. The lovers have to face many obstacles to their happiness, but they manage to go through their problems, although Edward can't accept the eventuality of Bella becoming a vampire.
